We offer a traditional menu from breakfast through to afternoon indulgences, and with the inclusion of daily/seasonal specials, such as our famous Bacon and Egg Pie and our irresistible Mixed Fruit Pie.
Our menu offers a good selection for special dietary requirements to make everyone feel welcome, and we proudly sell what we serve.
We have a passion for supporting local business, and we source our filter coffee from Pumphrey’s Coffee in Newcastle, along with stocking a variety of jams and preserves from local farms to the Northumberland area.
Fast gaining a reputation for our fresh, good quality and homemade food since inception, we were delighted to expand The Blacksmiths Coffee Shop business in 1998, and are continually on the look out to enhance our already great offering.
The original property, The Blacksmiths at Belsay, is set in a converted blacksmiths, abundant with original features, all still in tact, filling the property with character and charm.
Visiting The Blacksmiths at Belsay is the perfect way to escape to the country, but with the convenience of being approximately 6 minutes drive along the A696 from Ponteland.
Our other coffee shop, The Blacksmiths at Milkhope is part of Blagdon Estate and has recently undergone an exciting refurbishment to create a light, airy and sophisticated space, in keeping with the growing community of the Milkhope shopping centre; who share a passion for country living in a contemporary setting. The Blacksmiths at Milkhope has a lot to offer for those seeking relaxation after a good days retail therapy in the neighbouring country outlets or as a great stopping place before exploring the unique landform sculpture Northumberlandia.
Both properties have full wheelchair access and there are seating facilities available for small children.
